At The Colour Edit, we believe creativity should always feel beautiful — from the moment your parcel arrives to every brush, blend, and shade that follows.
If something isn’t quite perfect, we’ll ensure your experience remains effortless and refined.
🌿 Our Promise to You
Your satisfaction matters deeply to us. Every product is selected with care and quality in mind, and we stand behind what we sell.
This policy is designed to make returns as smooth and transparent as possible, while honouring your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement, or refund in line with Australian law. These rights exist in addition to our own store policy below.
🩶 Change of Mind
We understand that sometimes your creative direction shifts — and that’s perfectly okay.
If you change your mind, we happily accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:
To qualify:
The item must be unused, unopened, and in pristine, resellable condition
• Packaging must remain intact (including seals, wraps, and inserts)
• You’ll be responsible for return postage costs
• Original shipping charges are non-refundable
Please note, for hygiene and quality assurance reasons, we cannot accept returns of:
• Opened or used markers, pens, inks, or sketchbooks
• Digital downloads, e-gift cards, or sale/clearance items
All items purchased as part of a set or bundle must be returned in full.
🎨 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Should your order arrive damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we sincerely apologise — this is never the experience we want for you.
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order (or within 48 hours for shipping damage) so we can promptly resolve the issue.
When reaching out, please include:
• Your order number
• A brief description of the issue
• Clear photographs of the product and packaging
We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
If the issue is our mistake, we’ll cover return shipping or provide a prepaid return label.
🌸 A Note on Colour Variations
Each product is crafted to inspire creativity — and with that comes natural variation.
Differences in lighting, screen displays, and paper type may cause slight shade variations. These are considered part of the creative process and not product faults.
💌 How to Arrange a Return
1. Contact our support team at [support@thecolouredit.com.au] with your order number and reason for return.
2. We’ll respond with a Return Authorisation (RA) and instructions.
3. Pack your items securely, ideally in the original packaging, and include your RA number.
4. Keep your postage tracking receipt until your return is finalised.
💳 Refunds, Exchanges & Store Credits
Once your return has been received and inspected, we’ll issue your refund or exchange within 3–5 business days.
Refunds:
Processed to the original payment method (please allow additional time for bank processing).
Exchanges:
Subject to stock availability — we’ll happily hold your replacement until your return arrives.
Store Credit:
Available on request and issued as a gift card code for future purchases.
Please note: shipping costs are non-refundable unless your item was deemed faulty or incorrect.
🚚 Missed Deliveries or Wrong Addresses
If your parcel comes back to us because it was undeliverable, unclaimed, or had an incorrect address, we can:
• Re-ship it (you cover postage), or
• Refund the item price minus the original shipping cost once it’s safely back with us.
🌍 International Orders
Duties, customs, and import fees are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
If a parcel is returned to us due to refusal or non-collection, a refund will be processed less any shipping or return carrier fees.
📜 Proof of Purchase
A valid order number or receipt is required for all returns or warranty claims. If you can’t find it, we’re happy to help locate your order.
